State Golf Championships

The Midland Empire Conference is home to another State Championship.
The St Joseph Bishop LeBlond Golden Eagles fired a 311 on the second day of the MSHSAA Golf Championships to win the team title easily with a two-day total of 625, 46 strokes better than the second place Westminster Christian team.
LeBlond was led by Jeffrey Johnston with a 155, tied four fourth and Timothy Johnston with a 156 for sixth place. Two other LeBlond golfers also finished in the top ten.
A St Pius Golfer finished tied for 8th individually with a 157.
In Class 1, Dylan Comstock of Orrick fired back-to-back rounds of 73 to win the individual title. In the regular season, he won the Chillicothe Invitational.
William Heller of Marceline finished tied for 23rd while teammate Jacob Stallo was 47th. Hayden Jumps of Gallatin was 63rd.
In Class 2, Brookfield’s Robert Clarkson shot a 193 for 49th place.
