Five Injured In Two Separate Accidents

A Milan man was one of four people injured in a Buchanan County accident north of Gower.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred Sunday just after 12:00 pm on US 169, four miles north of Gower. The Patrol says a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old unnamed juvenile was south on 169 and crossed the road. The vehicle struck a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Curtis Faulconer of Smithville.
Injured were the 17-year-old driver and his 11-year-old male passenger. also injured were the other driver, Faulconer, and his passenger, 39-year-old Jeremy McAlister of Milan. All four suffered serious injuries.
The 17-year-old driver was taken by life flight to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City while the other three were taken to a St Joseph Hospital.
A Spickard man was injured in a two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Grundy County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that vehicles driven by 19-year-old Rory Jacobs and 86-year-old Thomas Stamper met on a gravel road. The two vehicles side-swiped before coming to a controlled swipe in the road.
Stamper suffered minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. Jacobs was not injured.
