The Chillicothe Girls and Boys Cross Country Varsity teams had good performances in the Maryville Invitational.
The Hornets took third out of five complete teams with a score of 79. Maryville boys took the team title with 19 points, and had six runners in the top nine, including the top three individuals.
For the Hornet Boys in the complete team standings, Cain Evans was 11th, Austin Lyford 13th, Carter Shipers was 14th, Logan Gregory 20th, Stephen Parkes 21st and Alton Keller 22nd.
For the Lady Hornets Varsity they finished second out of three complete teams with 37 points, one point behind Mount Ayr. Aliyah Briner was 4th, Kadence Shipers 5th, Yoo Jung Lee 8th, Juliann Gabrielson 9th and Alice Hurtgen 11th.
In the 3200 meter Boys Junior Varsity Race Landyn Peterson was 6th and Cutter Parkes 8th.
For the Lady Hornets Junior Varsity: Karissa Fostek was 6th.
