The Chillicothe Hornets Soccer lost to Maryville at home Monday Night 3 to 1. Chillicothe scored first off a Drake Cosgrove goal with Sam Reeter credited with the assist in the 49th minute.
Maryville scored the next three goals in the 50th, 65th and 70th minutes.
Hornets Goalkeeper Jaxon Albertson was credited with 12 saves.
Chillicothe head soccer Coach Tim Cunningham said “Maryville is a really talented team, but I thought our guys battled them in our defensive third, and created some good scoring opportunities in our attacking third. Our guys competed the entire match, and we are improving each game.”
The Maryville Junior Varsity also won 1 to 0.
