St Pius X used field position and a strong defense to hand the Chillicothe Hornets football team a 40-0 loss. Chillicothe failed to make a first down in the first quarter. Their drives started at the 20 yard line thanks to strong kick offs by Pius.
St Pius led 20 – 0 at the end of the first quarter. They had a first and goal early in the second, but Chillicothe stopped the Pius drive on the two-yard-line.
Pius scored late in the first half to lead 27-0 at halftime.
Pius scored on a 65 yard drive midway through the third quarter and scored again on a 35 yard run three minutes later for the final score 40 – 0.
Pius improves to 5-0 while Chillicothe falls to 3-2 on the season.
