The Chillicothe Hornets 2021 Football season came to an end with a 31-6 loss at Kansas City St Pius X Friday night.
Chillicothe scored first when Gage Leamer ended a long drive with a one yard run. The extra point was blocked.
St Pius scored two plays later on a 63 yard pass to lead 7-6.
An 18 yard field goal with two seconds left gave Pius a 10-6 lead at halftime.
The Warriors scored twice in the third quarter and once in the fourth quarter for the 31-6 win.
Chillicothe ends the season with an 8-4 record.
Pius will play Pleasant Hill, which beat Summit Christian 33-29
In other area football play off results Maryville beat Macon 33-6 and faces Richmond in the next round.
Marceline beat Highland 36-30 and will play Fayette.
Penney beat Gallatin 42-8, they face the winner of Saturday’s East Buchanan vs University Academy Charter game.
In 8-Man playoffs Bishop LeBlond beat Braymer/Breckenridge 76-44.
