The Chillicothe Hornets Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball teams have their home-opener games tonight (12/7). The games are an addition to the schedule, allowed due to the new MSHSAA by-law allowance of one more game.
Chillicothe will host Lexington with the Junior Varsity at 6:00pm and Varsity to follow around 7:30pm.
Chillicothe boys are 1-3 and coming off their first win of the season. Lexington is 4-1 on the season with a loss to Plattsburg and wins over four teams that have losing records.
Tuesday’s game will be the Home Opener for the Hornets and can be heard live on KCHI radio with the pregame show starting around 7:10 pm.
The Lady Hornet’s added game will be on December 21st at home against Joplin with a Freshman/JV/Varsity triple header that starts at 2pm.
