Commissioner Douglas Pleased With Progress in 2021

When we prepare to welcome a new year, we tend to reflect on the previous year that is drawing to a close.
Livingston County Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas will begin his 8th year on the job. He says he’s pleased with how things went for the County in 2021.

Douglas says the Commissioners recently addressed some long-term bridge needs with some of the Rescue Act money. There are 120 bridges over 20 feet in length in Livingston County. Douglas says MoDOT inspections show more than 40 have some degree of deficiency.

Douglas says the county plans to build one new bridge and fix and repair ten in the deficiency category.
