MEC Championship Hopes Dashed at the Buzzer

The hope of a share of the Midland Empire Conference Boys Basketball crown came to an end in the final seconds last night.
After leading much of the game, Chillicothe fell behind by one point with eight seconds left.
After a time out, Griff Bonderer brought the ball down court. Coach Tim Cool explains what happened in the final two seconds.

Jackson Trout’s shot from the right corner of the floor just missed it’s mark and was rebounded by Maryville for a 59-58 Spoofhounds win. The game had multiple lead changes and tied scores in the final quarter.
Griff Bonderer led the Hornets with 17 points, Landon Winder with 14, James Mathew with 13, Wyatt Brandsgaard with 6, Jackson Trout with 5 and Chace Corbin with 3.
Chillicothe will host Savannah Saturday at 2:00pm in the first round of the District Tournament.
