Unemployment numbers in Missouri are a mixed bag as some counties show improvement and others edge slightly higher. The Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development released the unemployment figures for February.
Looking at the area counties, from lowest to highest…
Livingston………. 2.9% – down from 3.3%
Chariton…………. 3.0% – down from 3.5%
Grundy………….. 3.4% – down from 4.1%
Daviess…………. 3.5% – up from 3.3%
Carroll…………… 4.3% – holding steady from January
Linn………………. 4.5% – down from 5.0%
Sullivan………….. 4.6% – down from 4.8%
Caldwell…………. 5.8% – up from 3.8%
The State of Missouri is at 2.7% – down from 4.1%
And the US unemployment figures also dipped to 4.1%,- down from 4.4% in January.
