Board Of Public Works Considering CMU Power Unit Status

The Chillicothe Board of Public Works is considering the future of one of their combustion power units.  CMU General Manager Matt Hopper says they are considering what will be done with the unit.

It’s a 40 MW unit that has been out of service for 4 years.

Hopper says at the time it broke down, it was not feasible to repair, they are now looking at the unit to determine what direction to go with it.

CMU does have another identical unit that is working.  If they determine repairs are not feasible, the first unit can be used for parts.
