Chillicothe D.A.R.E. Graduation

One-hundred-twenty-four fifth-grade students at Chillicothe Elementary School participated in the annual D.A.R.E. Graduation Ceremony. The students had completed ten weeks of classroom instruction focusing on communication and decision-making skills. The D.A.R.E. program in the Chillicothe R-II Schools is promoted by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Dan Weibers and funded by the Hedrick Medical Center Foundation.

Community partners provide donations that fund the purchase of graduation supplies including D.A.R.E. t-shirts for every student.

Miss Sydney Britt from Mrs. Gilliland’s classroom won the poster contest.

Miss Rebekah Barclay, Mrs. Gilliland’s classroom, won the essay contest.

Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Jones’ classes won the behavior award.
