Senator Black Working On State Budget

The Missouri Senate is working to refine the state’s operating budget ahead of the May 9th deadline.  Senator Rusty Black is vice-chair of the Missouri Senate Appropriations Committee and says what the governor suggested to lawmakers three months ago may look different now.

$60 million reappropriation to the rural roads fund and an increase to the foundation formula.

Once the Senate completes its work, the House and Senate conference committees will concentrate on working out the differences before the budget is sent to the Governor.
