Comment Period Opens For The Draft State Transportation Program for 2027-2031

The 2027-2031 Draft Missouri Statewide Transportation Improvement Program is now available for public comment for the next 30 days.  The plan includes $13 billion of federal and state revenues for all modes of transportation over the next five years and details $9.3 billion in road and bridge construction contractor awards, averaging approximately $1.9 billion per year.

In Livingston County, the proposed scope and design work includes:

Scoping for bridge improvement on Route F over Clear Creek and on Route KK over Muddy Creek and Little Muddy Creek.

Livingston County Highway and Bridge Construction plans include:

  • US 36 – Construct J-turns at the intersection with Mitchell Road in Chillicothe at a cost of $1,182,000 in 2027.
  • US 36 – Roadway realignment in the westbound lane 0.4 miles west of Rte. B to 0.2 miles east of Rte. B. Project also includes turn lanes in eastbound and westbound lanes in 2027.
  • Route DD – Bridge replacement over Shoal Creek Drain Ditch 0.8 mile west of Rte. C in Livingston County in 2029.
