UPDATED – Fire Weather For Northwest Missouri

Fire weather watches and warnings have been issued for portions of the KCHI listening area over the next couple of days.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the KCHI listening area from noon today until 8:00 PM. This is for much of northwest Missouri, including Daviess and Caldwell County locally. Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly so outdoor burning is not recommended in these areas.

A fire weather watch for Saturday has been upgraded to a Red Flag Warning, in effect from Saturday at noon through Saturday at 8:00 pm, due to strong winds and low relative humidity.  The Red Flag Warning includes the local counties of Grundy, Sullivan, Linn, Livingston, and Carroll County.  Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly so again, outdoor burning is not recommended in these areas.
