MDC Offers Pond Management Program In Chillicothe

A free pond management program will be offered by the Missouri Department of Conservation this April in Chillicothe. The event will be Thursday April 9th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Mildred Litton Building of the Litton Agri-Science Learning Center.

Representatives from the Missouri Department of Conservation fisheries staff will present the program. A wide variety of topics will be covered, including: pond site selection, pond construction, pond stocking, fisheries management, aquatic vegetation management, pond watershed management, and nuisance wildlife.

Those with questions about building a new pond or with an existing pond on their property are encouraged to attend
