House Numbers Identify Your Property

Can Emergency Services find you when you call for help?  Having your house or property properly marked helps ambulance, fire, and police locate you when you call for help.  Chillicothe Fire Chief Eric Reeter says giving a clear address is important.

A proper address saves time in reaching those who need help.

House numbers ARE required by the City of Chillicothe and Chief Reeter says they assist the crews in identifying the correct location.

Something 3-4 inches tall that is visible.

The Livingston County Health Center offers dusk to dawn LED lightbulbs that can help make the house numbers visible and easier to find.  Contact the Health Center at 660-646-5506.

As important as house numbers are in town, properly making your property from the road in rural areas is even more important.  Reeter will describe how clear numbers make a difference when they are out in the county as we continue this story on Tuesday.
