Two Crashes With Serious Injuries In Clinton County

A two-vehicle crash left both drivers with serious injuries Sunday evening.  State Troopers responded to the crash at 7:40 pm on Missouri 116, at NE Valann Lane, near Lathrop.  Vehicles driven by an 18-year-old Lathrop man and a 34-year-old Polo woman were both eastbound when the Polo driver began to slow to make a turn.  The Lathrop man struck the rear of the other vehicle.  The drivers were taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

A second crash at the same location, but nine minutes later.  This crash left an additional driver injured.  The occurred as the 18-year-old from the previous crash was stopped across the westbound lane and was struck on the driver’s side by a vehicle driven by a 60-year-old man from Ostrander, OH.  The Ohio Driver had minor injuries and was taken to North Kansas City Hospital.
