MO Dept of Conservation Reminds Hunters of New Deer and Turkey Regulations

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) reminds hunters of regulation changes for the upcoming deer and turkey hunting seasons.

 

The fall turkey season is now divided into archery and firearms portions, and the harvest limit for both portions combined has been reduced from four to two birds of either sex.

 

Archery turkey hunting in Missouri opens Sept. 15 and runs through Nov. 15. It reopens Nov. 27 and runs through Jan. 15, 2025. Fall firearms turkey hunting runs Oct. 1 -31 in open counties.

 

Archery deer hunting in Missouri is September 15th through November 15th, and reopens November 27th through January 15th.

 

Firearms Deer hunting seasons in Missouri include:

 

Early Antlerless Portion October 11th -13th in open counties

Early Youth Portion November 2nd & 3rd

November Portion runs November 16th – 26th

CWD Portion November 27th – December 1st in open counties.

Late Youth Portion runs November 29th – December 1st

Late Antlerless Portion December 7th – 15th  in open counties

Alternative Methods Portion Dec. December 28 through Jan. 7th.

 

Hunters should closely check the regulations for the counties included in the CWD Zones.
