MO Dept of Conservation Reminds Hunters of New Deer and Turkey Regulations

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) reminds hunters of regulation changes for the upcoming deer and turkey hunting seasons.

The fall turkey season is now divided into archery and firearms portions, and the harvest limit for both portions combined has been reduced from four to two birds of either sex.

Archery turkey hunting in Missouri opens Sept. 15 and runs through Nov. 15. It reopens Nov. 27 and runs through Jan. 15, 2025. Fall firearms turkey hunting runs Oct. 1 -31 in open counties.

Archery deer hunting in Missouri is September 15^th through November 15^th, and reopens November 27^th through January 15^th.

Firearms Deer hunting seasons in Missouri include:

Early Antlerless Portion October 11^th -13^th in open counties

Early Youth Portion November 2^nd & 3^rd

November Portion runs November 16^th – 26^th

CWD Portion November 27^th – December 1^st in open counties.

Late Youth Portion runs November 29^th – December 1^st

Late Antlerless Portion December 7^th – 15^th  in open counties

Alternative Methods Portion Dec. December 28 through Jan. 7^th.

Hunters should closely check the regulations for the counties included in the CWD Zones.
