A portion of Route 139, from the Iowa line in Putnam County to Highway 6 in Sullivan County, will be resurfaced this month. The Missouri Department of Transportation contractor, Norris Asphalt Paving, will mill and resurface Route 139. The work is scheduled to begin September 24th, with completion anticipated by the first week of November.
During the work, the road will be narrowed to one lane with motorists directed through the work zone using flaggers and a pilot car.
