Hale Woman Is One of Three Injured and Two Arrested In Randolph County Accident

A Hale woman was one of three injured in an accident Saturday evening in Randolph County.  State Troopers report the accident happened about 8:25 pm on US 24 near Clifton Hill.  According to the report, 32 year old Tara Clater of Hale was westbound when an eastbound vehicle driven by 22 year old Austin Skelton of Moberly crossed the center line and struck the Clater vehicle.  Both drivers had moderate injuries and a three year old, Chance Skelton, had minor injuries.  All three were taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.  Skelton and his son were not properly restrained.

Both drivers were arrested.  Clater was arrested for alleged DWI.  Skelton was arrested for alleged 2 counts of DWI with physical injury, failure to drive on the right side of the road resulting in an accident, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance, no seatbelt and failing to secure a child.  They were both released for treatment at the hospital.
