Grand River Flooding and Flooded Roads

Floodwaters on the Grand River at Brunswick are still slightly above flood stage, but should fall below the 19 foot mark later this afternoon.

At Brunswick, the river level was checked Tuesday evening and a level of 20.9 feet was reported.  The river is expected to fall below flood stage of 19 feet early this afternoon.

Additional rainfall later this week could cause additional flooding on the Grand River at Sumner and Brunswick.

Flooded Roads

MoDOT is reporting no change in the status of the three roads that have been closed due to flooding the KCHI listening area.  Those closing are in Carroll and Chariton counties.

In Carroll County,

US 65 remains closed south of Carrollton to the Missouri River.

In Chariton County,

Route M remains closed  from the Grand River to Schluter Avenue

Route J remains closed south of Agee Avenue to Namrash Road
