Hornet Hoops Fall in LeBlond Semis

The Chillicothe Hornets basketball team fell behind early and lost to St Michael the Archangel Guardians 78 to 60 in Saturday’s semifinal game in the Bishop LeBlond Holiday Tournament.
St Michael scored the first ten points in the game and Chillicothe trailed by double figures most of the game.
Hornets Coach Tim Cool was proud of how his team kept battling.

C. J. Pfaff led Chillicothe with 25 points, Westley Brandsgaard with 18, Mason Baxter with eight, Hayden Simmer with four, Griff Bonderer with three, Cayden Potter with two and playing time for Bradley Riley, Wyatt Brandsgaard and Joseph Tullos.
Three point shooting was the key with St Michael hitting 12 of 26 three point shots while Chillicothe was only two of seven.
Chillicothe will play Bishop LeBlond with a 5:30 tip off tonight for the third place game. KCHI’s pre-game show begins at 5:15pm and the 5:00pm news block will be moved to the 4:00pm hour.
