City Council Approves Bids For Truck And Farm Ground

The Chillicothe City Council approved three bids as part of the finance section of Monday’s City Council meeting.

Chillicothe Municipal Utilities presented the bid for the bucket truck for the Electric Department.  The bid of $100,743 had previously been approved by the Board of Public Works and was approved by the council on a vote of 5/0.  The new truck will take 13 months before it is delivered.  It will replace a 2008 bucket truck.

Bids for Farm Ground were presented and approved.

The three-year lease for the 229 acres at the airport was awarded to Paula Sprouse at a rate of $180.50 per acre or $41,334 per year.

The one-year lease for the 137 acres south of US 36 was awarded to Toedebusch Farms for $183.21 per acre or $25,099.77 per year.
