Livingston County voters that live in the Chillicothe R-II School District will consider a tax increase when they head to the polls June 2nd. The school board has proposed an increase in the district’s operating levy of 68 cents per $100 valuation. Superintendent Dan Wiebers explains.
Wiebers explains how that will affect the typical homeowner.
He says without the levy increase, the district would need to take a hard look at their budget.
If approved by the voters, the total levy for the Chillicothe R-II School District would be $4.43 per $100 valuation.
