Livingston Co Fair – Shooting Sports

The Livingston county Fair competitions have begun and two events are already complete.

Sunday, the Shotgun Shoot was held.  The shoot included 26 competitors, including intermediate and seniors.  All 26 shot Trap Singles.  The 8 seniors shot Senior Skeet.

Monday, the Archery Shoot was held with 24 participants.  The archers compete in three classes, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior, shooting at increasing distances.  They also break down the event by equipment, which includes Compound or Long Bow and the use of fingers or a mechanical release.

During Monday’s competition, two competitors achieved a “Robin Hood.”  That means they shot one arrow and a second arrow hit the back of that arrow, leaving them stuck together.  The two that had Robin Hoods are Braden Constant and Bridget Eller.  They both said it was a first for them.

Tuesday night is the Small Bore shooting event at the Beck Farm.

Results from all of the shooting sports events will be announced prior to the annual sale at the close of the fair.
