Troopers Report Two Accidents and One Arrest

State Troopers reported two accidents and one arrest in the area counties.

An accident involving two semis on US 36 near Utica left one driver with minor injuries.  Friday at about 1:10 pm, 61-year-old Kenneth Faiet of Sterling Heights, MI was westbound, a mile west of Utica, when he ran into the back of another semi as they were going up a hill.  The other driver, 44-year-old Ayad Danyal of Troy, MI was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.  Faiet’s truck was totaled and Danyal’s truck had moderate damage.

A single vehicle accident in Sullivan County left a driver with minor injuries.  26-year-old Rossaly Matuvangu was taken to the Sullivan County Hospital for treatment following the accident at about 2:20 pm on Highway 6, five miles east of Milan.  According to the report, she was westbound when she ran of the road and her car hit the ground and overturned, coming to rest on its top.  She was wearing a safety belt.

State Troopers in Clay County arrested 23-year-old Clayton Ford of Hamilton at 2:50 Saturday morning for alleged DWI and failing to drive in a single lane.  He was taken to the Clay County Detention Center pending the posting of bond.
