A Hamilton man was injured in an early morning accident in Daviess County Thursday. The accident happened Thursday at 4:30 am on Missouri Highway 13, south of Gallatin when 60 year old Dennis McGroom was northbound and ran off the west side of the road and hit an embankment. McGroom was not wearing a safety belt and had moderate injuries. He was taken to Cameron Regional Hospital for treatment.
McGroom was also arrested for alleged DWI – habitual offender, driving without a valid license and failing to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was released for medical treatment.
State Troopers in Taney County, in southwest Missouri, arrested a Sumner woman Thursday evening. Sixty-nine year old Lurene Foster of Sumner was arrested for alleged DWI and driving the wrong direction on a divided highway. She was taken to the Taney County Jail pending the posting of bond.
