Livingston County Sheriff’s Report

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report includes a few arrests and investigations.

Deputies responded to a report of a gunshot wound on Thursday.  The incident took place northwest of Chillicothe.  A father and son were shooting with a shotgun and a pellet ricocheted, hitting the father and causing minor injuries.

Deputies collected information of a possible forcible sex offense which may have taken place elsewhere in Missouri and possibly out of state.  The information was forwarded to the correct agency.

Arrests in the report include:
August 18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and further investigation led to the arrest of 44 year old Jay M. Shipp of Trenton for alleged Driving While Intoxicated. Shipp was processed and released with a summons to a responsible person.

August 19 a deputy witnessed a traffic violation in Utica and stopped the vehicle. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of 40 year old Amanda N. Bigelow of Chillicothe for alleged Driving While Revoked/Suspended and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bigelow was released pending Court appearance.

August 21 the sheriff was conducting a fugitive investigation in the northwest part of the county and located and arrested 27 year old Blake Addison Burton of Chillicothe on a State Parole warrant. Burton is on parole for a felony conviction on Unlawful Use/Possession of a Firearm. Burton was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.

August 21 a deputy stopped and arrested 32 year old Steven Lee Burns of Utica for alleged Driving While suspended. Mr. Burns was processed at the LCSO and released on a summons.

August 23 Deputies arrested 32 year old Marcus Anthony Coleman of California, on Livingston County arrest warrant for a commercial vehicle violation. Coleman posted $250 bond and was released.
