The Chillicothe Fire Department will have a new mid-sized ladder truck at about this time next year. The Chillicothe City Council approved the contract to purchase the Rosenbaum truck for just over $878,000. Chillicothe Fire Chief Darrell Wright told the Council Monday this is the truck they want.
Chief Wright says there are opportunities to lower the price.
If they pay for the chassis when it arrives at the factory they can reduce the price by just over $10,000, and if they pay for the aerial portion of the truck when that arrives at the factory, they can save another $3,781.
