Two Arrested On Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

Two men were arrested on drug charges Tuesday following a traffic stop by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.  Sheriff Steve Cox says at about 4:30 a deputy stopped an Independence man on US 36.  The driver, 22 year old Jarrett Crosbie Keanan of Independence was arrested for alleged DWI with Drugs and Possession of Controlled Substance.  A passenger, 21 year old John M.A. Cullen of Kirksville was arrested for alleged Possession of Controlled Substance.

Cox says both men were released pending results from the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab.

The investigation at the scene included a search of the vehicle by K-9 Zaki.  Deputies seized suspected high-level THC ingestible products, high-grade marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
