A church built in Chillicothe about 150 years ago will be moved next week. The Grand River Historical Society will move a church to the property across from the museum Wednesday, sometime between 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Pam Klingerman, Museum Curator, says the AME Church building is of significant historical value.
She says the last services at the AME Church were about 2010.
Klingerman says if weather cooperates, they will begin preparing the building for the move on Monday.
A new foundation is already prepared to receive the building.
When the time of the move is set, KCHI will let you know, so you can watch this move through the downtown area.
