Two From KC Arrested While Headed To Court In Linn County

A report of a suspicious vehicle in the Dawn area resulted in the arrest of two Friday.  The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call and located the vehicle at a fuel stop near Ludlow.  The deputy found several issues, including improper license plates and a problem with the driver’s license. They then found the vehicle was reported stolen in Shawnee, KS in July.

In the investigation, the deputy seized alleged methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Sheriff Steve Cox says a woman gave false identification information and signed the fingerprint card with a false name.  The woman’s true identity was soon determined.

Arrested are 40-year-old Athena R. Dawe and 40-year-old Adam Don Jones, both from Kansas City, MO.   They were arrested for alleged Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and Possession of Methamphetamine and Methamphetamine Drug Paraphernalia.  Jones was also arrested for alleged Driving While Revoked and Dawe was arrested for alleged Forgery.

Sheriff Cox says Jones claimed the reason they were in Livingston County was because he had an appearance in Linn County Friday.
