Haden Simmer and Kadence Shipers both medaled in the varsity cross country meet in Savannah on Saturday. Simmer finished in 10th place in the boys varsity race with a time of 18:48 and Shippers finished in 9th place in the girls varsity race in a time of 23:41.
The Hornet Boys Varsity team was fourth place, with Logan Asher 21st, Peyton Forck 22nd, Brady Berskoetter 34th, Stephen Parkes 40th, Eric Kleinschmidt 46th and Tristan Forck 48th place.
The Chillicothe Lady Hornets finished 2nd with Callaway Chapman 17th, Katheryn George 18th, Mayanna Weed 30th, Olivia Lamp 32nd and Emma Berskoetter 34th.
In the Boys JV race Nathan Toole was 2nd and medaled. In the Girls JV race Grace Bligh and Kiera Bosley competed but results from that race have not yet been made available.
Three Chillicothe runners were not at the meet due to a church function.
