It’s “Pink Out Day” In Chillicothe

Today, October 5th, is “Pink Out Day” in Chillicothe.  Mayor Reed Dupy signed the declaration to recognize those that are fighting cancer.  The Hedrick Medical Center Emergency Department and Chillicothe Fire Department have worked together to raise money to help cancer patients pay for treatment.  This is through the Hope House and for activities within the community.

Pink Out T-Shirts have been sold for the event.  The Fire Department and Emergency Department of the Hospital held a Boot Block at Chautauqua in the Park.

Another Boot Block is scheduled for today at the intersection of Clay and Washington before the football game. They will be easily identified by the newly designed pink breast cancer awareness t-shirts they will be wearing

Tonight’s Hornet Football Game is also their Pink Out game. Football players will be wearing a pink stripe on the helmet and pink garb or personal items pink in color to raise awareness for breast cancer.
