A Couple Arrests and Burglary Investigations Are In The Chillicothe Police Report

Illegal burning, a burglary and a stolen vehicle are in the Chillicothe Police Department report for Wednesday.

1:35 am, Officers were dispatched to a report of barking dogs in the area of JFK Ave. and Elm St. The dog owner was contacted and advised of the complaint and ordinance violation.

10:10 am, Officers were dispatched to a report of illegal burning in the 1300 block of Elm Street.

4:55 pm, Officers were called to a residential burglary in the 1000 block of First Street.

5:45 pm, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Monroe Street.

6:05 pm, Officers responded to a report of a vehicle stolen from a business in the 900 block of Washington Street. The vehicle was described as a white 1997 Chevrolet pickup with Missouri License 6KC-032.

8:05 pm, Officers took a walk-in report of possible tampering with a crime victim.

8:55 pm, Officers investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 1700 block of Hickory Drive.

9:30 pm, Officers made a traffic stop in the 10 block of S. Washington Street. They arrested the driver, Vernon W. Hines, for alleged driving without a valid license. He was processed and released.  They also arrested the passenger, Anthony Williams, on a Caldwell County warrant.  He was unable to post bond and was transported to Caldwell County.

10:10 pm, Officers were dispatched to a barking dog complaint in the 400 block of Wise Street. The owner was contacted and advised to take care of the situation.

11:40 pm, Officers were dispatched to a report of suspicious activity in the 1200 block of Walnut Street. Officers located an intoxicated male that was disoriented and was knocking on the door of a resident that did not know him. The man was given a courtesy ride to a friend’s house.
