The Chillicothe Police had a busy weekend, starting Friday.
At 2:35 am, Officers were dispatched to a person knocking on a window of a home in the 100 block of Webster St. Â A person was located and contacted and advised to stop. Â The person left the area without incident.
At 6:50 am, Officers checked a report of possible drug activity in the 700 block of Elm St.
At 9:45 am, Officers responded to a person attempting to bring a prohibited item into a correctional facility in the 3100 block of Litton Rd. Officers arrested Rusty Lee Kerns and he was transported to the Police Department. Â He was processed and released.
At 6:45 pm, Officers responded to a vehicle striking a deer in the 2800 block of Hornet Rd.
At 9:15 pm, Officers arrested Ronald Eugene Pryor for alleged operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license suspended, exceeding the posted speed limit and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility following a traffic stop at Fair St. and Dorney Dr.  Pryor was processed and released pending a court appearance.
Saturday,
At 3:15 am, Officers were dispatched to persons attempting to get in vehicles in an alley in the 1200 block of N. Washington St. Â Officers later investigated a report of the same activity in the area of Park Ave.
At 11:55 am, Officers took a report of a leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash in the 1100 block of Grandview Ave. The investigation is on-going.
At 1:20 pm, Officers recovered property previously reported stolen in the 500 block of Jackson St. Â The owner has been notified.
At 2:30 pm, Officers took a report of a leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash in the 100 block of N. Washington St.
At 9:40 pm, Officers were dispatched to possible drug activity in the 10 block of Jennifer Ln.
Sunday,
06:10 pm, Officers responded to the 1900 block of Calhoun for a fire. The resident had been trying to clean her oven which caused it to catch on fire. No damage was reported.
11:05 pm, Officers arrested Travis Scroggin for alleged driving while suspended. He was processed, cited and released.
