Smoke in a home was reported Monday at about 12:25 pm. Chillicothe Fire Fighters responded to 1703 Webster Street and arrived to find no smoke showing from the outside. Inside they found a light haze of smoke. The resident stated that they started up their furnace and smoke had filled the home. The fire crew checked the furnace and found a motor had seized. They turned off the furnace and recommended it be serviced.
Fans were used to clear the smoke.
The fire crew was back in service at 12:41.
