$1 Million In Improvements Planned At Livingston County Courthouse

A One Million Dollar project to upgrade the Livingston County Courthouse will begin before the end of the year.  Livingston County Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says the project will include a variety of work, from top to bottom.

Douglas says they will be using local contractors on many parts of the project.

He says they plan to get started soon.

As part of the improvements, Douglas says they are also improving security at the courthouse.  He says they have already hired a full-time deputy for courthouse security.

Douglas says the Commissioners are working with a finance company that hopes to have local banks provide the financing for the project that will be paid over a 15 year period.
