As the deadline for applications for the Affordable Care Act health insurance approaches, many are finding the only choice for insurance in the Chillicothe area is Ambetter, but Hedrick Medical Center and the St. Luke’s Health Systems is not accepting Ambetter. Hedrick Medical Center and Wright Memorial CEO Steve Schieber explains the decision by St. Luke’s.
Schieber offered some advice for the area residents that are using the Affordable Care Act to supplement the cost of their insurance.

Schieber understands that some of their patients will need to make a choice of seeing their current doctor without insurance or having insurance and switching to a facility that accepts Ambetter.
