Bransgaard Joins 1,000 Points Club

Chillicothe Junior Westley Brandsgaard Saturday night became just the 9th player in Chillicothe High School Basketball history to reach 1,000 points scored in a varsity career. The feat was one of the lone bright spots in a 67-53 MEC basketball home loss to Lafayette.
Coach Tim Cool said Brandsgaard bring a lot to the boys program.

Bransdgaard finished the night with 14 points and seven rebounds in the game. C J Pfaff had 13 points, Bradley Riley had six, Mason Baxter had four and Eli Cross with one.
Others playing but not scoring on Senior Night was Hunter Swift, Matt Anthony, Hayden Simmer, William Perry, Michael Riddle, Matt Smith, Peyton Forck, Dalton Ripley and Hunter Rader.
Lafayette made it a clean sweep on the night, winning both the Junior Varsity and C-Team games.
The Lafayette JV won 53-29. Chillicothe was led by Carter Allen with 9, Demarcus Kelow with 8, Cameron Fleener with 5, Quentin Cranmer with 4, Seth Hansen with 2 and Chace Corbin with 1 point.
The Lafayette C-Team won 74-21. Chillicothe was led by Eli Cross and Hayden Simmer each with four points, Carter Allen and Hunter Rader each with three points, Spencer Shira and Demarcus Kelow each with two points and Tyler Hart, Tucker Burtch and Seth Hansen each with one point.
