There are now fewer Northwest Missouri high school teams that are still playing basketball.
The Class 2 and 3 Sectional basketball games were played around Missouri on Wednesday night.
In the KCHI area:
Class 3 Girls Trenton remains undefeated after handing Monroe City a 59-41 loss at Moberly Area Community College. Saturday Afternoon the Lady Bulldogs face Kansas City St Pius X which beat St Michael the Archangel 60-30. The game will be at 2:45pm at Lee’s Summit.
Class 3 Boys St Michael ended Maryville’s season after trailing by 19 points in the game to win 69-59. St Michael will take on St Paul Lutheran, the team that won Chillicothe’s district. St Paul beat Monroe city 45-42 to improve to 26-1.
Class 2 Boys Milan’s undefeated season ended with a 64-52 loss to Van-Far.
