Residents of the Chillicothe R-II School District will cast their ballot April 2nd on the Chillicothe R-II School District’s proposed 80 cent per $100 valuation levy increase. Superintendent Dr Roger Barnes says if the Levy is approved there are many areas where the funds could be used. He says part of that includes the day to day operations of the district.
Barnes says eight years ago the school district made $1.2 million in cuts because the reserves were getting low.
Barnes says there are also improvements at Grand River Technical School.
Wednesday afternoon, Dr Barnes will talk about how the increased levy would affect the area homeowners.
