Chillicothe Police Report Includes Missing Dog

Chillicothe’s Police Report for Tuesday includes several investigations and a missing dog.

10:07 am, Theft report of items from a storage unit in the 10 block of Montgomery Street.  The investigation is continuing.

1:23 pm, Report of damage to a Mailbox in the 1400 block of Fair Street when a trailer came loose from a vehicle and struck the mailbox.

3:47 pm, Officer traveled to Independence PD to pick up a subject that had been arrested on a Municipal warrant and then transferred them to the Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.

5:22 pm, Officers responded to the 1000 block of Grandview to take a report of an assault that occurred moments before in the 400 block of Webster.  Two suspects have been identified and the investigation is continuing.

7:58 pm, Report of a young child playing unattended in the 200 block of Polk Street.  child and parent contacted and advised of the situation.

8:20 pm, Report of trespassing in the 100 block of St. Paul Street.  information received and investigation continuing.

10:15 pm, Report from someone in the 1000 block of Graves Street missing a dog.  That person was cleaning his vehicle and had his dog tethered outside the vehicle.  They checked on dog and found it was gone, possibly stolen.  The dog is a full-blooded healer with a gray harness.  The investigation continues.

11:26 pm, Report of open burning near Linn Street and East Jackson.  Subjects advised of violation after dark and advised to extinguish the fire.
