Grand River Flooding Continues Into The Weekend & Beyond

Major and Moderate flooding continues on the Grand River.

At Chillicothe, the river crested at 38.11 feet, more than a foot below the record.  Major flooding continues with a reading this morning of 37.5 feet.  The river will continue to fall and should be back below flood stage of 24 feet Monday.

At Pattonsburg, the river crested of 36.26 feet and the level is falling.  Major flooding continues, with a reading this morning of 34.56 feet.  Flood Stage at Pattonsburg is 25 feet and the flooding should end Saturday morning.

At Gallatin, the river crested at 39.18 and is holding near that level.  The reading this morning was 38.99 feet.  Moderate flooding is expected to continue into Saturday and the river should fall back below flood stage of 26 feet on Sunday morning.

At Sumner, the river is rising again toward a crest of 41.6 feet expected Saturday.  Major flooding continues through the weekend and the river is expected to remain above flood stage of 26 feet for much of next week.

At Brunswick, moderate flooding continues.  The reading Thursday night was 31.8 feet.  The river will slowly rise to 33 feet on Sunday, with flooding at Brunswick through much of next week.  Flood Stage at Brunswick is 19 feet.

For the Thompson River at Trenton, the river fell back below flood stage of 27 feet Thursday afternoon.
