Chillicothe Police Have Busy Weekend, Including A Few Arrests

Chillicothe police handled a variety of calls over the weekend.  They had nearly 140 calls for service and made a few arrests.

Sunday,

12:20 am, Officer made a traffic stop in the 500 block of South Washington Street.  The driver was cited for failing to register a motor vehicle, no insurance, and displaying license plates of another.

7:11 AM, Officer conducted a traffic stop on US 65 at Coach K Road.  The driver was cited for speeding.

12:17 pm, Officers responded to a business in the 1000 block of Graves to a report of theft.  As a result of the investigation, Officers arrested Crystal Coughron for alleged stealing.  Coughron was processed and released.

2:57 pm, Officer called to the 900 block of North Washington to a report of a person sitting on a bench for an extended period of time and the caller thought it was suspicious.  The person was just enjoying the weather.

7:43 PM, Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Washington Street.  The driver was arrested for driving while revoked, no insurance, and defective equipment.

Saturday,

1:43 am, Officers took a report of Report of someone on the roof of the businesses in the 400 block of N. Washington Street.  Officers located 4 people that ran from Officers and jumped off the south end of the buildings onto the sidewalk below.  One was caught and arrested, transported to the PD, processed and released to their parents.

3:16 am, Request to check a truck with doors open on the parking lot in the 500 block of West Mohawk and no one around. There were people in truck when officers arrived.

10:30 am, Officer at the Police Department took a report of an assault in the 100 block of N. Washington Street that occurred on a previous date.  A report was sent to the Prosecutor for consideration of charges.

3:42 pm, Officers assisted Livingston County Deputy with an arrest on South US 65.  The person was wanted on Chariton County warrants.

3:59 pm, Officers took a report of suspicious activity in the 1000 block of Webster Street.  Someone was seen removing a package from front of a home.  The person had been asked to pick up the package.

6:21 pm, Officers took a report of a juvenile being sexually assaulted. A suspect was identified and the investigation continues.
