Chillicothe Police Handle 122 Calls Thursday

One-hundred-twenty-two calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department Thursday,  including a couple of arrests.

2:26 am, Officers took a report of a missing person whose cell phone was pinged north of Chillicothe.  The officers told those making the report, they should also make a report to the Linn County authorities, because they reside there.  Livingston County Deputy checking area of reported phone location.  Unable to locate.

7:51 am, Officer made an arrest at the Probation and Parole office.  The person had a probation and parole warrant.  They were held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

7:58 am, Officer recovered an abandoned bicycle in the 300 block of Edgerton Street.

11:34 am, Officers were in the area of 1000 block of Graves Street for a report of keys missing from a parked vehicle.  The investigation continues.

12:09 pm, Officers were out on an investigation at the Conservation Boat Ramp south of town.

12:16 pm, Officers took report of a stealing which had occurred in the 1400 block of Clay St.  This investigation is on-going.

12:42 pm, A traffic stop in the 1200 block of Monroe resulted in two arrests on warrants.  One person was able to post bond, while the other was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

1:30 pm, Report of minor vehicle accident behind business in the 500 block of South Washington Street.

2:20 pm, Officers responded to a complaint of dog in parked a vehicle in the 1000 block of Graves Street.  Officer spoke with owner of the dangers of leaving an animal in a parked vehicle.

3:11 pm, Officer responded to a domestic dispute in the 100 block of Polk Street.  Determined to be verbal and no arrests were made.

8:48 PM, Officers responded to the 1400 block of Alexander Street, regarding a report of a stolen cell phone. Officers contacted a person who stated his daughter had her cell phone stolen from Danner Park.  Investigation continuing.

9:01 pm, Request to check well-being of subject in the 1100 block of Jackson Street.  everything OK.

10:25 pm, Suspicious activity at a business in the 1000 block of South Washington Street.  Subjects were waiting on a ride.

10:54 pm, Report of a possible burglary at a home in the 1200 block of Locust Street.  The investigation continues.

11:40 pm, Report of dog laying in the street in the area of Third and Brunswick.  The dog was gone when officers arrived.
