When driving past the Chillicothe Police Department, on Walnut Street, you see the yellow safety tape, The Chillicothe City Council approved the start of a project to make repairs to the building so the hazard can be removed. City Administrator Darin Chappell says the repairs made previously turned out to be mainly cosmetic.
The city will pay Allgeier Martin $19,000 for the engineering and bid work on the project.
Chappell says they hope work will begin soon.
There is no official timeline on the project.
