Chillicothe Police Report Includes One Accident

The Chillicothe Police Department Report for the weekend includes 155 calls for service.

Sunday

12:04 am, Officer checked an unoccupied vehicle at Danner Park

1:38 AM, Officer responded to the 500 block of Business 36 Highway for a physical disturbance. The parties agreed to go there separate ways. Alcohol is believed to be the cause of the problem.

11:00 AM, Officers responded to the 800 block of Gilbert Street for a stealing report. Further investigation is to continue.

4:09 PM, Officers responded to the 2600 block of Country Club to assist another agency. Officers made contact with a subject about there vehicle.

7:33 pm, Officers responded with Livingston County to assist with a possible traffic accident. The person drove his vehicle into a ditch by accident. No injuries were reported.

9:14 pm, Officers responded to the 900 block of Jackson Street for a stealing report. Further investigation is to continue.

Saturday:

12:21 am, Officers investigated several reports of shots being fired in the area of Third and Mansur. No evidence of any type was found by Officers and no one witnessed the incident.

9:28 am, Officers were dispatched to an accident involving a pedestrian at Polk St. and Fair St.  A vehicle was stopped at the stop sign waiting to turn onto Polk St. when a pedestrian started walking in the crosswalk. As the vehicle started the turn, it struck the pedestrian, knocking them down.  The pedestrian complained of minor pain to the elbow and hip and was transported to the hospital by private vehicle.

11:52 am, Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Walnut Street for a domestic assault. Officers received information that a juvenile had assaulted a family member. Information was gathered on the scene and all findings will be forwarded to the Livingston County Juvenile Office.

1:16 pm, Officer responded to a business located in the 300 block of N. Washington Street to retrieve items found in the area.

2:33 pm, Officers contacted a subject in the 200 block of Herriford Street that reports that someone had tried to gain entry into his home, the night before.

6:52 pm, Officers performed a welfare check of a subject in the area of Curtis and Liberia Streets.  The subject was determined to be on Probation/Parole and in possession of illegal contraband.  Information is being forwarded to the Probation/Parole Office.

10:23 pm, Officer responded to a business in the 300 block of W. Business 36 for a report of a stolen book bag or backpack.

11:43 pm, Premises alarm in the 700 block of Webster Street.  Officers checked the building. Found to be a false activation.
