Grand River Technical School held its annual Advisory Committee meetings Thursday, to gather input from businesses and industry they serve. GRTS Director Jayme Caughron says these meetings provide them with vital information.
Caughron says these meetings lead to support for grants to improve the programs and purchase the grants needed to keep equipment up to date. She says have also lead to new skills within a program or new programs that are offered. One of those is the Pipe Welding program that started this year.
She says they could be offering that as an evening class soon for those already in industry that would like to add to their certifications.
